There is exactly one home game a year where the instruction is simple: wear black, and get loud.
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, ASU hosts Kansas State at Mountain America Stadium for the Blackout theme night — a top-shelf Big 12 matchup in a stadium designed to hold noise in.
Kickoff time is still TBA pending television selection, which is normal for a game this size and one more reason to lock your transportation before the schedule tightens.
Why This One Is Different
Blackout games are the closest thing college football has to a dress code, and Sun Devil crowds take it seriously. The whole bowl goes dark and stays that way.
Kansas State travels well, too. Expect a purple contingent in the visiting sections and a genuinely loud building from the opening drive.
It is also ASU's last home date before a Halloween road trip to BYU, which gives the Tempe party a send-off feel.
Tempe Game Day Is a Parking Problem
Mountain America Stadium sits inside a campus, not a parking complex. Lots are permitted, limited, and gone months in advance.
Everything else funnels onto Rural Road, Mill Avenue and University Drive, all of which lock up two hours before kickoff and again the moment the clock hits zero.
A chauffeured bus turns that into someone else's job. Curbside drop near the stadium, then a driver who stages and returns on your schedule.
The Mill Avenue Version of a Tailgate
Tempe has an advantage most college towns would trade for — a full bar district three blocks from the stadium.
The play we run most often looks like this.
- Four hours out: one pickup, one address, everyone on board with a drink in hand.
- Three hours out: drop on Mill Avenue for food and pregame.
- One hour out: short hop to the stadium gates, no walk from a distant lot.
- Postgame: the bus is waiting, and Mill is still going. Win or lose.
If your group would rather tailgate properly, the bus works as the tailgate — climate control, sound system, and somewhere to sit that is not a folding chair on hot asphalt.
Fleet and Pricing
Ten to fifteen people is limo territory if you want the arrival polished. Bigger groups take a party bus, which is the better call for game day anyway — standing room, LED lighting, and sound loud enough to carry a pregame playlist.
Hourly charters start at $150 per hour. All-day packages start at $2,000 for groups running noon to last call. Round-trip point-to-point transfers start at $500.
