A Night of Remembrance in the West Valley

On Saturday, November 7, 2026, the 15th Annual Día de los Muertos Festival returns to Goodyear Farms Historic Cemetery in Avondale, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Hosted by Ballet Folklórico Esperanza together with the City of Avondale, it is free, family-friendly, and unlike any other event on the Valley calendar.

Live music and folklórico performance, food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, and a community ofrenda where anyone may place a photograph or a memento for someone they have lost.

This is not a themed party. It is a genuine cultural observance held in one of the most meaningful places in the West Valley — and that is exactly why it deserves to be arrived at properly.

The Setting Matters Here

Goodyear Farms Historic Cemetery sits at 3720 N. Santa Fe Trail in Avondale.

It was established when the 1918 influenza pandemic swept through the Valley, as a resting place for the Goodyear Farms field workers and their families who died. Generations of the families who built agricultural Arizona are buried there.

Holding Día de los Muertos on that ground is the entire point. The ofrendas, the marigolds and the candlelight are not decoration — they are the tradition doing precisely what it was meant to do.

It also means the venue is a historic site rather than a stadium lot. Parking is limited and the surrounding streets are residential.

Why Families Charter for This One

Día de los Muertos is a multi-generational occasion. Grandparents, parents, cousins and children frequently attend together — which is the hardest kind of group to move in private cars.

A single vehicle changes that completely.

  • Everyone travels as one. No caravan, no one lost on the way, no separate arrival times.
  • Elders ride comfortably. Climate-controlled luxury seating and a door-to-door drop mean no long walk from a distant street space.
  • Parking becomes irrelevant. A limited historic site with residential streets nearby is the worst possible place to hunt for a space at 4:45 p.m.
  • Conversation starts early. The ride out is part of the evening, not a logistics problem.

We serve groups from six to 30-plus passengers, so a large extended family fits in one vehicle instead of five.

The Evening Continues

Because the festival closes at 9 p.m., the night is far from over.

Some groups head to dinner in Avondale or nearby Goodyear afterward. Others continue to the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, which is a short run up the 101 and still fully alive at that hour.

Your charter stays with you either way. Add the second stop when you book, or decide in the moment with your chauffeur.
