Some events you attend. Others you arrive at — and the 27th Annual Chandler Mariachi & Folklorico Festival is firmly the second kind.

On Sunday, November 1, 2026, downtown Chandler turns into a Dia de Muertos celebration built on live mariachi, folklorico dance and a mercado of local makers, centered on the Chandler Center for the Arts at 250 N. Arizona Avenue.

A free community celebration runs in the afternoon, then the ticketed mainstage performance takes over at 4 p.m. It is a full day, and it deserves better than three cars and a parking app.

What the 27th Annual Festival Brings

The mainstage lineup is all Arizona talent: Mariachi Pueblo Viejo, Mariachi Nueva Fusion, vocalist Evelyn Ozuna, and the C.A.L.L.E. de Arizona Folklorico Dancers.

Twenty-seven years in, this is one of the longest-running cultural festivals in the East Valley — and one of the few that pairs a free street-level celebration with a full theater production on the same afternoon.

Mainstage tickets generally run in the $49 to $79 range through the Chandler Center for the Arts. The afternoon community portion, with its mercado vendors and ofrendas, is free and open to everyone.

Why Downtown Chandler Rewards a Charter

Uptown Chandler is compact and walkable, which is wonderful once you are there and frustrating while you are trying to park.

Arizona Avenue and the surrounding lots absorb a normal Sunday just fine. A festival Sunday with a sold-out 4 p.m. theater show is a different equation entirely.

A charter solves it in one move: we drop your group at the doors, then wait off-site until you are ready.

Make It a Full Dia de Muertos Sunday

The festival is the anchor, not the whole day. Downtown Chandler and the surrounding East Valley give you plenty to build around it.

  • Late brunch first. The restaurants around Dr. A.J. Chandler Park open early and sit within a block of the theater.
  • Hit the mercado in the afternoon. Local artisans, ofrenda displays and food vendors fill the free community window before the mainstage show.
  • Dinner after the performance. The show lets out into the golden-hour patio scene that makes downtown Chandler worth the drive.
  • Stretch it to Old Town. Groups that want a second act ride 30 minutes north to Scottsdale and keep the night going.

The Ride Is Part of the Occasion

Our party buses and limousines run leather seating, ambient LED lighting, premium sound and full climate control — which matters when your group is dressed up for a November evening out.

Multigenerational groups are common for this one. Grandparents, parents and kids all traveling together is easy on a single vehicle and miserable across four cars.

Charters start at $150 per hour. Point-to-point transfers to the Chandler Center for the Arts start at $500, and a full-day reservation starts at $2,000 if you are building brunch, festival and dinner into one arc.

We Pick Up Across the Valley

Chandler sits at the center of our East Valley service area, which makes this one of the easiest festivals we run.

We collect groups from Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Queen Creek and Phoenix — and from the outer markets like Maricopa and Casa Grande, where the drive alone argues for a charter.

Reserve Your November 1 Ride

November 1 falls on a Sunday and sits at the front of the Valley's best weather stretch, which means the calendar fills faster than people expect.

Lock your vehicle now and the rest of the day organizes itself around it.
