Four Peaks Oktoberfest at Tempe Beach Park: The Tempe Party Bus Guide

Fifty-three years in, Tempe's Oktoberfest is no longer a novelty — it is a Valley institution. Every October, Tempe Beach Park fills with polka, pretzels, carnival rides and a crowd that takes its lederhosen seriously.

Four Peaks Oktoberfest runs October 9–11, 2026 on the shore of Tempe Town Lake, hosted by Four Peaks Brewing Co. and Tempe Sister Cities. Admission is free, VIP packages are available, and the beer is very much the point.

The One Event That Really Needs a Bus

Most group outings are more fun with a driver. A beer festival is different — it genuinely requires one.

Tempe Beach Park sits right at the edge of downtown Tempe, which means parking is limited, Mill Avenue is closed off in places, and the lots that do exist empty into gridlock at closing.

Booking a party bus means every person in your group can enjoy the festival the way it was designed. Nobody nurses a single beer for four hours. Nobody is counting the minutes until they can drive.

What You Are Walking Into

The festival is bigger than most people expect on their first visit. Alongside Four Peaks and imported German beers, there are seltzers, canned cocktails and non-alcoholic options for the group members who are along for the atmosphere.

Live music runs all weekend — rock, pop and authentic German polka in rotation. There is a full carnival, stein-holding and costume contests, and the Runnin' for the Brats 10k, 5k and 1k race for anyone ambitious enough to earn their bratwurst.

How Valley Groups Are Doing Oktoberfest

Because the festival runs Friday through Sunday, there is more than one good way to build the day.

The Friday night crew. Office closes, the bus picks up at five, and the group is under the string lights by six with a stein in hand. This is the most common booking we run for Oktoberfest weekend.

The Saturday all-day. Start with a late breakfast, hit the festival mid-afternoon while the carnival is going, then roll into Mill Avenue or Old Town Scottsdale for the night.

The brewery-tour hybrid. Some groups build a full craft-beer day — a stop or two at Valley breweries, then Tempe Beach Park as the finale. Your driver handles the whole route.

Coming From Outside Tempe

We pick up across all 22 cities we serve. Groups regularly ride in from Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Queen Creek, Glendale, Peoria and Scottsdale for this one weekend.

For those groups especially, the math is simple. One bus beats five cars, five parking searches and at least one person who cannot drink.

Fleet and Pricing

Oktoberfest groups tend to grow in the final week — plan for a little more room than your headcount suggests.

• 10–14 riders: Stretch limo or luxury sprinter.
• 15–24 riders: Our signature party buses — LED lighting, premium sound, coolers on board.
• 25–40 riders: Large coaches for big friend groups, company outings and brewery clubs.

Hourly service starts at $150 per hour, with most Oktoberfest bookings running five to seven hours. All-day charters start at $2,000, and round-trip transfers to Tempe Beach Park start at $500.

Reserve Before the Weekend Fills

October 9–11 is one of the busiest weekends of the Valley fall. The Arizona State Fair is running the same nights, ASU hosts Hawai'i on the 10th, and the Cardinals are home on the 11th.

That is a lot of demand on one fleet. Three to four weeks of lead time is the difference between the bus you want and the one that is left.
