The East Valley's Oldest Tradition, Three Days Deep

Gilbert Days returns November 20–22, 2026, and it remains the rare Valley event that is equal parts small-town parade and full-bore PRCA rodeo.

The Gilbert Days Parade steps off Saturday, November 21 at 8:30 a.m. on Gilbert Road between Elliot Road and Juniper Avenue, running straight through the downtown Heritage District.

This year's theme is "Hollywood in the Heritage District" — expect the floats to lean into it.

The Gilbert Days Rodeo runs three performances at Horse Shoe Park & Equestrian Center in Queen Creek: Friday November 20 at 7 p.m., Saturday November 21 at 5 p.m., and Sunday November 22 at 2 p.m.

Two Venues, One Weekend

The split geography is the thing most first-timers underestimate.

The parade is downtown Gilbert. The rodeo is out at Horse Shoe Park in Queen Creek. They are not walking distance from each other, and on Saturday you may well want both.

That Saturday in particular is a logistics puzzle: parade at 8:30 a.m. in the Heritage District, rodeo at 5 p.m. in Queen Creek, and a long, pleasant gap in between that is begging to be filled with lunch and a winery stop.

One chartered vehicle turns three separate drives into a single continuous day. Your group never re-parks, never re-converges, never loses forty minutes to a caravan.

Parking, Honestly

Parade morning shuts down a stretch of Gilbert Road, and the surrounding Heritage District lots fill before the 8:30 step-off. Spectators who arrive at 8:15 are parking a long way out.

Horse Shoe Park handles rodeo crowds better, but it is a dirt-lot situation on a November night, and the exit after a Friday or Saturday performance moves slowly.

A chauffeur drops your group at the rail for the parade and at the gate for the rodeo — then handles the exit queue while you are still talking about the bull riding.

Building the Saturday

The full-day version of Gilbert Days is genuinely excellent, and it is the reason most groups charter rather than drive.

Start with coffee in the Heritage District and claim a curb spot before the 8:30 a.m. step-off. The parade runs roughly through mid-morning.

Break for a long lunch on a Heritage District patio — November in Gilbert is the best patio weather of the year, and the district's restaurants are at their peak.

From there, the afternoon is yours. Queen Creek's wineries and farm destinations sit between the two venues, which makes them an almost perfect midday stop before the 5 p.m. rodeo.

Then it is out to Horse Shoe Park for the evening performance, and back to Gilbert afterward for a proper night out.
