Halloween weekend in the Valley has a new center of gravity, and it is bass-heavy, eighteen-plus, and set inside an Old West town.
HEX Festival returns October 30 and 31, 2026 to the Festival Grounds at Rawhide Western Town & Event Center at Wild Horse Pass in Chandler. Doors open at 5 p.m. each night with a 1 a.m. curfew, and the whole event is 18+ with valid ID required.
Presented by Relentless Beats, this is two full nights of heavyweight bass music on the weekend the entire Valley is already out. Passes start around $80.95 through the official ticketing partner.
The Lineup
The billing is anchored by four headline acts: Subtronics, Excision, INZO and ATLiens.
Underneath them sits a deep supporting card — Riot Ten b2b PhaseOne, Softest Hard, Nikademis, Badklaat, Decimate, Layz, Xaebor, Hurtbox, Modal Nodes, Sora, Onara, Proxxxy, Inaktiv, Izzy Vadim, Dennett and YVM3 — plus local selectors DeathBeat and Linz.
Two-day GA, GA+ and VIP passes are all available, and the two-day option is the one most groups land on. Committing to a single night at a festival like this tends to produce regret by about 11 p.m.
Why Driving Yourself Is the Wrong Move
Rawhide sits south of Chandler on the Gila River Indian Community, off the 202 and Maricopa Road. It is reachable and it is also genuinely remote — this is desert festival grounds, not a downtown venue.
That means one road in and one road out for several thousand people. At a 1 a.m. curfew, the exit is a single long queue of headlights, and most of those drivers have been at a festival since five.
Rideshare is the other trap. Pickup zones at remote festival grounds at 1 a.m. on Halloween are where surge pricing goes to show off, and wait times of forty-plus minutes are routine.
A chartered bus flips all of it. Your driver is parked and waiting, the vehicle is yours, and the group leaves when the group decides to leave.

Thirty to forty-five minutes from central Phoenix, Tempe or Scottsdale is dead time in a car. On a party bus with sound, lighting and room to stand, it is the first set of the evening.
Costumes survive the trip
Halloween weekend at an EDM festival means the outfits are a serious investment. Four people crammed into a sedan is how a costume arrives damaged. A bus has space, mirrors and climate control.
Nobody has to opt out
Every group has the person who volunteers to stay sober and drive. On a two-night bass festival, that is a real sacrifice. Charter transport means all of you are actually at the festival.

Practical Notes
Bring valid government ID. HEX is strictly 18+ and the gate enforces it — a group turned away at the entrance is a story nobody wants.
Arrive earlier than you think. Doors at 5 p.m. means the undercard starts early, and the openers at a Relentless Beats event are frequently the most interesting discovery of the night.
Desert nights in late October drop hard after sunset. Seventies at doors, fifties by curfew. A bus you can duck back into is a real advantage over a coat check line.
Plan your food before you go. Festival grounds have vendors, but a group that eats on the way in spends its night at the stages instead of in lines.
