Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton and a Full Rodeo — Inside a Baseball Stadium

Chase Field has hosted a lot of things. A world-class rodeo with a stadium concert attached is a genuinely new one.

The Hondo Rodeo Fest takes over Chase Field in downtown Phoenix November 13–15, 2026, with a 6 p.m. showtime each night. Three days, dirt on the infield, and a country bill that does not need overselling: Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton and Parker McCollum among the headliners.

The format is the part people miss. Every rodeo ticket includes two live music performances. You are not choosing between the rodeo and the concert — you are getting both, back to back, in the same seat.

What Makes the Hondo Different

This is an invite-only, eight-event all-star competition. No sanctioning body, no qualifying grind — just the best athletes and the best stock the organizers can assemble.

Think of it as an all-star game rather than a regular-season stop. The riders are there because they were asked to be.

And before any of that, the Hondo Street Fest opens daily at noon and is completely free — no ticket required. Food vendors, shopping, brand activations and live music spill out around the ballpark all afternoon.

The Free Afternoon Is the Reason to Charter

That noon-to-six window is what turns this from a night out into a full day, and it is the single strongest argument for a party bus.

Show up at one, wander the Street Fest, eat, drink, listen to the free stages. Then walk into the ballpark at six for the rodeo and the concert. You are looking at ten or eleven hours in downtown Phoenix.

Nobody wants to pay for a parking garage at noon and then walk back to it at eleven at night. And nobody in that group should be driving home after an afternoon of the Street Fest plus a Blake Shelton set.

Downtown Phoenix on a Hondo Weekend

Chase Field sits at 401 E. Jefferson, in the thick of the downtown event core. On a November weekend that block is busy regardless — and the Hondo brings three consecutive nights of stadium-scale crowds into it.

Jefferson and Seventh Street back up badly on load-out. Light rail helps if your whole group happens to live along the line, which they never do.

We drop at the gate and pick up at a spot we agree on in advance, away from the worst of the crush. That is the entire pitch, and on a night like this it is worth a great deal.

Picking Your Vehicle

Country crowds travel in bigger groups than almost anyone else we carry. Plan accordingly.

  • Ten to fourteen — a stretch limo or small party bus. Good for a couples' group or a tight friend circle doing the full day.
  • Sixteen to twenty-four — mid-size party bus. The most common Hondo booking we expect: two friend groups combining for the Saturday.
  • Thirty to forty — full party bus. Company outings, birthday groups, or a crew coming in from the East or West Valley together.

Every party bus runs LED lighting, a premium sound system and wraparound leather seating. Queue up the headliner on the way in and keep the night going on the way out.

Rates

Charters start at $150 per hour. Given the noon Street Fest opening, most Hondo groups are better served by an all-day charter starting at $2,000 — the vehicle and chauffeur stay with you from the first pickup to the last drop.

If you only want the stadium run, point-to-point transfers start at $500.

November is our heaviest month outside the holidays, and a three-night stadium event with this lineup will move our Saturday inventory first. Book the weekend of November 13 well ahead.
