For a lot of Valley families, Christmas does not start with a tree or a calendar. It starts the moment Mannheim Steamroller's first chord fills the Ikeda Theater.
Mannheim Steamroller Christmas returns to Mesa Arts Center on November 28 and 29, 2026 — Thanksgiving weekend, exactly where this tradition belongs.
Showtimes and the venue
There are three performances across the weekend, which gives groups real flexibility:
- Saturday, November 28 — 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday, November 29 — 2:00 p.m.
All three are in the Tom and Janet Ikeda Theater at Mesa Arts Center, 1 East Main Street in downtown Mesa. All-in tickets start around $54.
Grammy winner Chip Davis built this show over four decades, and it has grown into something closer to a production than a concert — fifteen musicians playing more than twenty instruments against a wall of multimedia effects.
Why arrival matters more for a theater show
An arena will seat you late. A performing arts theater will hold you at the back of the house until a break in the program.
That changes the calculus entirely. Downtown Mesa parking fills early on a Thanksgiving-weekend matinee, and the 3:00 p.m. show overlaps with ordinary Saturday downtown traffic on Main Street.
Arriving fifteen minutes behind schedule does not mean a worse seat. It means standing in a corridor listening to the overture through a door.

A chauffeured arrival that fits the occasion
This is the show where a limousine stops being indulgent and starts being obvious. It is a dress-up night, often three generations deep, and frequently the one holiday outing a family does together every single year.
Your chauffeur handles the door drop at Mesa Arts Center and parks elsewhere. Grandparents are not walking four blocks. Nobody is circling. The group arrives together, in good coats, unhurried.
Inside the vehicle: climate control, leather seating, soft lighting and enough quiet for conversation. For this crowd the ride is a calm prelude, not a pre-party — and we read the room accordingly.
Matching the vehicle to the group
- Luxury sedan or SUV — the classic choice for two to six. Elegant, direct, discreet.
- Stretch limousine — for a family group that wants the occasion to feel like one.
- Executive sprinter — eight to fourteen, ideal for multi-household holiday groups.
- Party bus — for the extended-family contingent that travels fifteen or more deep.
Build the holiday evening around it
The 3:00 p.m. matinee leaves the entire evening open, and downtown Mesa has grown into a genuine dinner destination.
- Dinner on Main Street after the matinee — your chauffeur moves the group four minutes instead of re-parking.
- Holiday lights afterward. Keep the vehicle and run a lights loop through Mesa and Gilbert on the way home.
- Collect everyone first. We run pickups across Mesa, Gilbert, Tempe, Chandler, Queen Creek and Apache Junction so no one drives.
Thanksgiving weekend is the tightest weekend of the year
Rates start at $150 per hour, point-to-point transfers start at $500, and all-day charters start at $2,000.
Be realistic about the date, though. November 28 falls inside the single most congested stretch on our calendar — a Glendale arena headliner and an NBA Cup night in downtown Phoenix both land the day before, and holiday-light charters begin the same week.
Sedans and sprinters for a Saturday matinee are the first things to go. Two months of lead time is not early for this weekend; it is correct.
Call (602) 866-7777 or submit a booking inquiry and we will match the vehicle to your party and work backward from curtain.
More on what we cover locally is on our Mesa limo and party bus service page, and we serve all 22 cities in the Phoenix metro.
Thirty years of this show, one weekend in Mesa, and a ride that gets your family to the door in time for the first note.
