Three Races, One Weekend, One NASCAR Track

On November 21–22, 2026, Phoenix Raceway trades stock cars for spear throws and rope climbs as Spartan Trifecta Weekend takes over Avondale.

The format is the whole point: run the Sprint 5K, the Super 10K and the Beast 21K across the same weekend and you earn a Trifecta.

The course is a genuinely unusual one. Racers charge across the iconic low-banked NASCAR oval, then peel off into unpaved desert trail between the Gila River and Estrella Mountain Regional Park.

Saturday waves start around 7:30 a.m. at 7602 S. Avondale Blvd. That early start is the detail that changes how you should handle the logistics.

Why Groups Charter for an Obstacle Race

A 7:30 a.m. wave start means leaving Scottsdale or Gilbert somewhere around 5:45 a.m., in the dark, with a car full of people who are about to run 21 kilometers.

Nobody wants that drive. Nobody wants to be the one doing it.

Put the team on a party bus instead and the pre-dawn run becomes part of the event — gear stowed, coffee out, everyone arriving at the same gate at the same time instead of trickling in across three separate cars.

The Part Most People Underestimate

You finish a Spartan race covered in Sonoran Desert. Mud, grit, and whatever the Gila River bottom contributed.

Driving home in that state, in your own car, in wet shoes, is a specific kind of misery. With a chartered vehicle you can pack a full change of clothes, a towel and a cooler and actually use them.

Our drivers do this all the time for race weekends and know to bring the vehicle right to the athlete exit rather than making a muddy team hike the lot.

Building the Whole Weekend

Trifecta chasers are at the raceway both days, which makes a two-day arrangement worth pricing out.

The common pattern: a round-trip transfer Saturday for the Sprint and Super, then the same again Sunday for the Beast. Point-to-point transfers start at $500 each way.

The better pattern for larger teams: an all-day charter, starting at $2,000, with the vehicle staying on site as a base camp between waves. Air conditioning, a bathroom stop and somewhere to sit that is not a curb.

And Then There Is Saturday Night

November 21 is a loaded night in the Valley, and the finish line is not usually the end of the story.

Teams routinely finish the Super, clean up, and head straight into downtown Phoenix or Old Town Scottsdale to celebrate. Hourly charters start at $150 per hour and one vehicle can carry the whole arc of the day.

Getting to Phoenix Raceway

Phoenix Raceway sits about 30 minutes west of downtown Phoenix off I-10, in Avondale.

The West Valley is not rideshare country at 6 a.m. on a Saturday, and it is worse at the raceway specifically, where surge pricing and long waits are the norm on event mornings.

Sizing the Vehicle for a Race Team

Obstacle-race groups carry more than concert groups do — drop bags, changes of clothes, recovery food, coolers and at least one person's entire hydration setup.

A party bus handles that easily. A stretch limo does not, and it is the most common booking mistake we see for race weekends.

For eight to twenty athletes plus gear, the party bus is almost always the right call. For a small crew of four running the Sprint only, an executive SUV is plenty.
