There is a particular kind of voice that makes an arena feel small. Teddy Swims has it — that gravel-and-honey soul delivery that turns twenty thousand people into a single choir on the chorus of "Lose Control."

On Monday, November 16, 2026, that voice arrives at Mortgage Matchup Center in downtown Phoenix as part of The UGLY Tour. Doors and showtime are set for a 7:00 p.m. start.

He is not coming alone. Natasha Bedingfield and MarcLo open the night, which means the room is already warm long before the headliner walks out. Arrive late and you have genuinely missed something.

Why Downtown Phoenix Punishes Drivers

Mortgage Matchup Center sits at 201 E. Jefferson St., in the middle of a downtown core that does not have spare room. Garages on Jefferson and Washington fill from the outside in, and the surface lots closest to the doors are the first to post their signs.

The bigger problem is afterward. Eighteen thousand people leave at the same moment, into a street grid with one-ways and light-rail crossings. That is the twenty-five minutes that quietly ruins an otherwise great night.

A party bus removes the whole equation. You are dropped within a block of the entrance, and your driver is waiting in the same spot when the encore ends.

• Roosevelt Row loop. Dinner and a drink in the arts district, ten minutes from the arena doors, then back out for a nightcap after the show.
• Straight charter. Doorstep pickup across the Valley — Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria — and a single ride home that nobody has to stay sober for.

That last point matters more than the glamour. Somebody in every group ends up as the designated driver, and that person spends the concert watching everyone else enjoy it.

Coming from Outside the Core

We charter from all twenty-two cities we serve. From the East Valley, that means a straightforward run up the 202 from Mesa, Gilbert or Chandler.

From the West Valley, Glendale, Peoria and Avondale groups take the I-10 in. Either direction, the drive stops being a chore the moment you are not the one doing it.

If you are staying downtown, a shorter charter still solves the hardest part of the night — the exit.

What to Sort Out Before the Night

Two practical notes. Mortgage Matchup Center has moved to mobile-only ticketing for most events, so load your tickets into your phone's wallet before you leave and make sure everyone's battery is charged.

And confirm your headcount early. Vehicle size drives the whole quote, and a group that grows by four people the day before is the one scenario we cannot always solve.
